Abstract
The rationale for Newtonian gravitational attraction supports the concepts of inertial mass, and gravitational mass. This support tacitly imposes an equivalence for these designations of mass so differently defined. Using a dual application of Newton?s Universal Law of Gravitation leads to a denial of ?free-fall?. This in turn leads to the denial of the Equivalence Principle in Newton?s own terms. At the foundation of Einstein?s relativistic theory of gravitation, the Equivalence Principle is stated as a postulate. Therefore, if my argument holds then Einstein?s theory of gravitation is based on a false principle.
